TRAIL OF TEARS Issues Post-North American Tour Update

February 13, 2008

Norway's TRAIL OF TEARS has issued the following update:

"TRAIL OF TEARS' first North American tour is now history! We've had a great time during the last month and there are a lot of impressions that will occupy our heads for the next few days. The first thing that struck us was how friendly and welcoming the American people are; everywhere we went people would come up to talk or share a beer with us. 23 shows across the country, as well as Canada and Mexico is now a part of our history. Walking the streets of L.A., getting thrashed in New York City and playing some of the most legendary venues around will never be forgotten!

"We would like to thank First Row Talent, Paula Hogan and Manic Music, our crew Vikki, Spud and Jerry as well as our new friends UNEXPECT and ECHOES OF ETERNITY. Most of all, though, we would like to salute all you crazy fuckers who managed to get your asses out to the shows to party with us, thank you America. We will be back, for sure!"

In other news, TRAIL OF TEARS has scheduled the following dates in the Netherlands in April:

April 04 - Apeldoorn, NETH @ Gigant
April 05 - Sneek, NETH @ Het Bolwerk
April 06 - Rotterdam, NETH @ Baroeg (afternoon show)
April 06 - Uden, NETH @ De Pul

TRAIL OF TEARS' fifth album, "Existentia", was issued in January 2007 via Napalm Records. The CD was recorded at Soundsuite Studio in Marseille, France with producer Terje Refsnes and includes contributions from French female singer Emmanuelle Zoldan and Norwegian keyboard master Bernt Moen.

TRAIL OF TEARS was last year rejoined by vocalist Cathrine Paulsen, who sang on the group's 2002 album, "A New Dimension of Might".

TRAIL OF TEARS members Jonathan Perez (drums),Kjell Hagen (bass),Runar Hansen (guitar) and Kjetil Nordhus (vocals) announced on November 28, 2006 that they were leaving the group. Vocalist Ronny Thorsen has since vowed to carry on with new members.
